around 100 in proper conditions. The best thing to do is use a GPS and find out.

Top Speed would be around 90 - 94 MPH with the 579cc or the 600cc.
The Indy XLT's fastest box stockspeed was an 86 mph run through the quarter. Don's Polaris upped the speedto 88 with a little dealer prep. Add in the fact that this sled was runningshorter studs than the other competitors and you could have had even betterETs. Yeah, the Polaris Indy XLT deserved to be a popular choice. Its a strongrunner.
Vital Statistics - Polaris Indy XLT Special
Fuji Polaris, 579cc liquid-cooled triple, 3 Mikuni VM34 slide carburetors,Polaris drive and driven, tuned exhaust pipe, 92.4 horsepower on C&HDyno.

This post is considered "no good" by the community with a rating of -7. View it anyways?
If you want to go fast I would stay away from any Polaris triple. They just dont hold up. Plus they are way heavy. My ZR 440 would crush a xlt from start to finish and its alot more fun to ride. I'd buy one of those instead.

Sorry I get too wound up from too much coffee. I'll better next time. Please don't kick me off this board Ok, i guess i can make an exception xcr, i mean, afterall, you own a pro-x as well! On a side note, what makes a triple heavy like a storm or any other triple/triple from that era are the lack of modern suspension/chassis components that decrease weight while increasing strength, as well as the old stock triple pipes. I remember when i was younger and my dad owned a 1997 zrt 600. It was a struggle lifting front end up on that thing and trying to move it around whereas my older indy 500 was a breeze. I also recall taking off each of those pipes to repaint them and let me tell you, those suckers were heavy. Its not so much the motor alone that makes them heavier, its everything else that comes along with them.

You my friend are a moron. Another uneducated post from someone who has no clue about polaris triples. My xcr 800 would blow the doors off your 440 with a 1 spark plug wire pulled off. They just dont hold up you say? Can you back that statement up with any factual reasons? Probably not so just shut your yap because nobody wants to read your dribble.

I would say stock right around 100 on the dreamometer, I had a 95xcr with pipes and I hit 115 on the dreamometer and it was still pulling a little, but I ran out of ditch. That was about 1 mile of very flat and smooth ditch also.
