It'll float. Just be sure to silicone(especially around the clutch area).

It should be able to skip water just fine.

-To ride or not to ride, what a stupid question!
-You should never judge a guy until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you are a mile away and have his shoes
-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.

it wil work good. just remove the seat seat and tape the area around the clutch so water wont get in...

I never really had any issues just going straight across water holes, never felt as if it was going to go down..

Zx's are actually one of the best sleds to use on the water, you still see quite a few of them in the competitions.

Last spring I took my 700 across an opening a couple of times in about 10ft. of water that was about 40 yards long no problem. Then I thought it would be a good idea to put the skis and the edge and take off. I almost lost it I think but it pulled out lf way through. It was scary just givr yourself a little speed first and you should be fine. I wont even think about taking my 500 terd across unless I did not want t see itrun again.

my buddy use to skip the heck out of his mxz 500. Longest he went was 1/4 mile. Never had issues....he couldn't accelerate much and it'd slow down to about 35-40mph tops on the water but it went. How deep of a lug does it have?

Heres a video of me going over a small hole a few times on my 99.. I'd say it was twice as long from what you see in the vid, just for an idea..

ZX chassis' skip amazingly if you ask me. I did a few small drops onto open water with mine ( like 2 or 3 feet ), and but already had some speed going and hit and kept going. From all the sleds I've ridden ( and there's a lot of them ), the ZX chassis skipped the best.
