Hello, im new to the group. I got a 92 440 sport last winter that in itching to get on the snow this year. The problem im having is that i need 2 jugs for the 440 fan. Parts seem to be hard to find and darn expensive when i find them. Would a 488 jugs bolt up to the 440 block with bigger pistons? Im trying to save money so that i can get this project running but i keep running into problems (IE seat cover, slide suspension bearings & track) Anyone have a spare 440 or 488 spare motor around?
Any imput would be appreciated

no, 440 is a leaf blower. 488 is liquid cooled.

The bottom ends are exactly the same i gaurantee you that. Every single Fuji twin from 400-500 have the bottom end!
The cranks, rods, magnetos, case, cdi, rewind, and shrouds are all the same! And the liquid cooled motors have the same crank and magnetos just different cases! 400, 440, 488 were all liquids and 440-488 "500" are all the same cranks all the way up to 98'!! so in other words it will work just fine

Thanks,
Seth W

Why do you need new cylinders, are they cracked or gouged super deep? Bore it if it's scored and put some Kimpex pistons in. Wiesco and Kimpex are your only choice for aftermarket and the Kimpex at a third of the cost of OEM or Wiesco and are good quality for your engine.

I know a guy not too far from you that has the exact same sled that has new pistons. When it was rebuilt last winter the center bearing pin was not fitted into case properly and destroyed bearing and maybe crank. He wants it gone- has good suspension, shocks and other stuff. PM me if you want his contact info.
