So last january, while going down the interstate I hit a patch of ice throwing both snowmobiles off into the ditch. Basically I have my 1997 Summit 500 all patched back up, of course some things are still bent but im not to worried about that, what i need to know is does anybody know if the two clutches should line up perfectly or should the primary be at a slight angle? Basically they are pretty close but the primary kind of points to the center of the sled and you can definatly see an angle. If they should be in line with each other do i just lossen the motor mounts and straighten that way?? Any help would be apprecidated.

you need a clutch alignment bar
and yes, the clutches need to be true, or you need alot of belts to go for a ride!

Fix it till its broke!

Any aftermarket sled place should have one, denniskirk, partsunlimited, etc. You will have to loosen the motor mounts and adjust it which ever way for the engine to be parrell to the secondary. There should be some amount of offset but they should be in line.

I know on my sled, the bolt holes are not slotted so I can't adjust mine.
