ngk br8es

The br8's seem to run too hot, on a warm day you easily melt a piston. I prefer champion rn57ycc's for my sled.

Both of my sleds have ngk br9es. If I see enough of people saying they run too hot I will switch for sure. But so far 9es seem to be what both sleds had previous to me owning them.

ive found out while working on numerous sleds that all sleds run better on diff plugs, champion ngk or whatever else you run, a ngk br8es is hotter than a br9es, in my sled i run a bpr8es, and sometimes switch to the 9 if its running to hot, the p in that number is a projector plug, it sticks out a little further, one other little thing i like to do is run the plugs with the solid top, not the ones that you can screw off, they sometimes come loose and lose the good spark. but you could have two identical sleds that run better with a different plug than the other

That does happen. I have seen it mentioned that some people locktite the screw cap on. No proof either way that it may affect spark strength.
