My sled has a 98 engine in it, the stock 98 pipe/can set wouldnt work in my 2000 chassi. I had a 2000 800 pipe/can sitting in my parts so I used it... will this effect how my sled runs?

check the part number, see if it's the same from the manuals. i think it might work. there was some models have the same part number, stock that is for 7s and 8s i believe.

good thinking, the 00 700 engine was almost the same as the 98. So if the 00 700 and 800 use the same pipe it should work fine on my 98.. Ill have to look up numbers another day when Im not on dial up.

you sure the 800 pipe is from a 2000? the only 800 twin polaris made in '00 was the 800 rmk. anyways, the 2000 800 pipe is only used on 2000-2001 800 RMKs. the pipe for a 700 is only interchangeable between 600 and 700 non-VES motors (2000 and 2001 in the gen2 chassis). cant tell ya if a 2000 700 pipe is the same as a 1998 700 pipe (wedge body) because they are different chassis's and the pipes are shaped differently, therefore have different part numbers.

-fox reservoir front track shock
-fox front shocks
-xenon low-beam bulb (very helpful at night)

Just add gas and snow!

I know the 00 700 pipe is different then the 98 because they used a compleatly different setup. 98-99 6/700's used the same setup as each other, in 00' they went to a suit case can that exited the tub in a different place as was much quiter then the 98/99's, if I remember right the 00 pipe had a longer neck to them.. id have to pull my 98 pipe and compair to be sure. And Im sure its a 800 pipe because it has 00 800 rmk writen on it. I guess I will try it out and see if it runs normal or not.
