First of all, had lots of problems accessing the site this morning. It seems back up to speed now but everytime I navigate away from reading a post there is a seperate pop-up.
It says that I must be logged onto Facebook to view the page. You can close it easy enough with out any further problems. I have had no other problems with any other sires this morning.
It's all about the ride to get there, the destination doesn't matter!

I have to say, I hope nobody is donating to the "site fund" anymore. With how often erick keeps messing with the ads on this site I know he's making a good chunk of money already.

As soon as I hit the back button I get a little pop up that says Here-->3. Anyone else have that pop up? This isn't an ad or anything.
EDIT: 2sewings, I'm assuming this is the seperate pop up you are talking about when you "navigate" away from posts?

Hmm. I haven't been getting this pop-up. Can you please log out and log in again and see if it happens some more? Which particular pages is it occurring on?

You seriously just need to settle down. This is a work in progress. Be patient.

Your reply doesn't even warrant a response. I haven't touched anything with "Ads" on the site. I'm implementing Facebook Connect so users can log into the site using their Facebook account if they want. It's absolutely 100% unrelated to "Ads". And, you have absolutely no idea what kind of money this site makes. Contrary to popular belief, it's not much, considering all the work I put into it. You really don't have a clue, do you? Best keep quiet about things you don't understand.
Everyone else, please work with me to report issues you find. Do a ctrl+F5 to refresh cached files (javascript files, etc) and / or clear your cache in your browser and try again. If the problem persists, please LET ME KNOW. Post what web browser and version you are using. I hope you all realize I'm doing all this to help make the site easier to use and open to a larger subset of individuals.

Sorry Erick, I was just extremely frustrated this morning when i went to browse the site and "you must connect to facebook" thing kept popping up after each page I clicked. I understand you are trying to expand the site, I have nothing negative to say against that, this site is the best. But, I don't want to combine facebook and snowmobile fanatics...
I use google chrome and haven't seen any problems with the site. I know chrome loads pages a little differently then IE and firefox, but everything seems to be working as it should.

My computer here at work has a pop-up blocker that asks you if you allow them to happen. Did not stop it from happening on this site earlier. I tested it at a couple of other sites that have a ton of pop-ups and it was working fine.
Everything on this site seems to be working fine now.

Erick, I saw your other posting, about clearing teh cache using ctrl+f5. I don't know if tha did the trick or if you changed the programming but i haven't seen the pop up.
Suggestion: I like how you are trying to integrate facebook into your site (although it doesn't interest me, the idea of it es excellent) and it sounds like you are still working out the bugs. Anyways, you could put a link on teh header of the page for the "BETA" version of it or something like that. Unless someone finds your posting about helping you out, people will not know they can connect with Facebook...
Hope that helps, or made sense lol

I made no changes so perhaps the refresh worked for you. I was thinking of adding a notice similar to that at the top of the site, at least to display to those who were currently logged into a Facebook account and browsing SF.

Win7 Pro and Firefox on one machine, Vista and Firefox on another, no problems here. Well, except for the fact that I'm still running Vista on one machine but that's unrelated.
