96 xcr 600 i need help - not sure what i have started by seelow

i just bought what i believed what was a 1996 xcr 600 triple W the aggressive body. but i went to replace a piston i cant find the right one, the only numbers on the sled that i can find is the ones on a tag on the recoil, the numbers are ec590pl0010321 and 9604788 i cant find the body serial number there usally on the tunnel but i dont see one any help would be appriciated.

check the right side of the tunnel by the footrest, you should find a model number or a serial number there.

otherwise, if the motor is a monoblock (1 jug that houses all 3 cylinders), it is an xcr 600 in the wedge body (white hood). if the motor has three individual cylinders, it is an xcr 600 SP in the aggressive body (black hood). note the difference in naming between a 1996 XCR 600 and a 1996 XCR 600 SP. polaris dropped the ball for naming 2 completely different sleds almost exactly the same name

-fox reservoir front track shock
-fox front shocks
-xenon low-beam bulb (very helpful at night)

Just add gas and snow!

um you can tell if you look at the throttle cable and if it has 4 lines than it is the sp if it only has 3 it is just the xcr

yep than it is the xcr sp. then just go to an oem dealler and you can just put your sled in and all the parts should come up.
