Idler wheel bearings are pretty cheap, i Usually buy 10 packs from royal distibuting for about $30, It's a good idea do them every year or so.

I get all my bearings from VXB.com very cheap most of their idler wheel bearings are 3-5 dollars each or 10pk for aroun 20 dollars. Put in the bearing numbers(if their read able) or measure the bearing size and put that in.

^ You need a bearing but as people said buy them for all the wheels and redo them all. It is a common item that is considered maintenance. They go all the time because they live in snow hell. See, look at this picture of a common 6205 bearing
http://cgi.ebay.com/10-6205-2RS-RS-Quali...334ff96498 (NOTE - I do not know if your sled takes 6205's or not)
