HELP XC 500 - 2001 Polaris XC 500 started by INDY400MOD

I just purchased a 2001 XC 500 the only problem i have found with it is that when u are at a stop and pin it it will just bog and back fire. Why is it doing this and what do i need to do to fix it?? thanks so much

1993 Chevy 1500 2wd V6 Dual Exhaust, with some other goodies but i'll never tell, It will give your V8's a run.

could be your safe switches build in to the throtle block. my bros 500 trail did that to it would cut out and back fire at a certain piont so he cut the wire going to the switch next to kill switch. but there could be a better answer on how to fix it.

Check the air box to make sure there is no rats nest in it.
Have the carbs been cleaned? Sounds like a good time to tear apart and clean them both.
Also might need to adjust your air screw=low end performance.

Could be time for a new CDI box? I'm with the other guys though......check and clean you carbs first. If its been stored all summer, got knows what could be in there. Also look at your clutch weights.....I had a yamaha that would bog, smoke, and pop when pinned, turned out to be a flat spot in one of the clutch weights......its like riding a bike up a hill in high gear.

ya i cleaned the airbox that was the first thing i did when i got it it had grass belt debree and whatever else in there i mblocked the carbs and cleaned them idk what could have got in there but i gotta clean them i mean its got 130 psi in each piston so i no its not rings
