I have a stock 2001 Xc 500 and was told there was clutching i could do to make this sled pull way from 600 700 and 800's on take off just to embaress them you know? what do i need to do and how much will it cost? are there any websites? anything will be appreciated.

Sno-stuff rumble pack
96 woody's picks
powermadd handguards
red windshield
black headlight cover
1993 Chevy 1500 2wd V6 Dual Exhaust, with some other goodies but i'll never tell, It will give your V8's a run.

Well I have seen guys that just tune it in right and give other sleds run for there money. Clutching it would make a bid differance. I personally am happy with Goodwin Performance, EPI is another and SLP has a kit. Good place to start.

ya my uncle was saying his friend had three teeth taken off and ordered a shorter chain but personally i have no idea on clutching gearing any of that but im willing to learn

well gearing is a total different animal.
Your clutching you can change your ingagement, rev out rpm, backshift and take off.

Your gearing is wether you want more "snappy" or more top speed.

put in polaris 10-56 weights, erlundson red primary spring, and a erlundson yellow seconday spring in the stock positon it will come alive for you

they made three dif. 500's that year, thats why i asked. Indy 500 with the fuji, 500 XC, and 500 XCSP (which both have the liberty). My buddy mike has an 02 XCSP that he asphalt drags. Stock motor with custom built pipes and custom clutching. All tunes in "custom"...thing smokes all the 800 twins at the drags.
