I picked up a Ultra with LRM pipes on it and I am having trouble finding the carb tuning specs for it. I found some info on this site but it does not say if they are running stock jet needles or something else. this is my setup.
2.0 slides
mains 370
jet needles 6DH8 position #2
pilot jet 50
needle jet 247 Q-2
Below is the info I found on this site.
carburetor : 3.0 slide valve
main jet 370
jet needle clip position #2
pilot jet 40
needle jet 247 Q-2 (instead of P4)
air screw 1 ½ turn.

I believe there was a guy on here probably a couple years ago asking the same questions, I can't remember who it was. Did you do a search? Bottom line is you're probably just gonna have to tune it up yourself or contact LRM and see what they say http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_cc2p93w. Tuning is always gonna vary with your specific setup. I'm assuming you're pretty much in trail trim and I don't know anyone close to that running LRM pipes, so I can't help ya out much, sorry.
If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

it's my setting, work fine with me. (trail pipes)
stock needle.
expensive is the 3.0 slide (used for xcr 600sp, and storm, and other.... easy to find used) bigger the needle jet...bigger the slide (more air for more gas)
got this setting from L.R. himself.
don't forget to retarded the timming, 2.5mm clockwise.
check your plug color often.
check my picture... love this sled, even if I have two XCR800 (2000 and 2003).

Steve Thanks, Do you run the same main jets on all three carbs? I am at about 700 above sea level and I think I will start at 380 mains and go from there.

same for all three, it's early season (high temps) you can try 380, but for this temp I go with 370. 380 for the winter temp.

nice i would like to find a set of LRM pipes for my sled.
you should jet per cylinder and don't assume all will be the same! i'm into the 400's for main jets for my sled.

If you actually run EGT thermocouples and provided they are correctly installed, you'll end up with different jetting on every cylinder. If you don't have EGT sensors, then you have to be careful and practice good jetting technique. Start very conservative and work your way down. I would start with at least 400 or 410s to be safe. Don't forget about the needles either, you can burn it down on decel through a lean needle setting.
If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.
