This morning I went to check the oil in my truck because I needed to go to Kamloops today for a meeting and when I went to pour some more in a noticed the bottom of my oil cap had some nice light brown creamy **** on it. So I added a liter and couldn't miss the meeting today so I had no choice but to put another 450km's on it. What do you guys figure? It also has a SLOW oil leak in either the rear seal or the oil pan gasket I noticed awhile ago would this have anything to do with it? Has anyone ever done an intake gasket on a 2004 F-350 Superduty (w. Triton 5.4L)? I'm gonna drain the oil and see what it looks like but the problem is the nearest town is 145 km's round trip for anything that I need.

Also, I bought it at the end of June with 168,000 Km's on it and I just rolled 204,000 the other day, so I put alotta miles on it recently..

Anyways, thanks in advance.

That is oil with moisture in from condensation. Its from the engine being hot, getting shut off and cooling down and the condensation forms and it leaves that crap on the oil cap. It also can form from taking short trips and not getting the engine up to full temperature and shutting it off again. The engine needs to get hot enough to burn the moisture out of the oil. A little bit on the cap is normal, just as long as the oil when You drain it doesnt look like a milkshake. Hope this helps.

The oil on the dipstick looks great still, I change the oil and filter often becuse I put so many miles on it. That would make lots of sense as the last week and a half I've only been using it to boot to the river and do some fishing or just drive to the spare lot and wat6ch the highway traffic and listen to the Sirius radio at night. That takes a friggen load off my mind, thanks.
