Anyone know how to remove a airbox from a 95 xlt 600 special i have to remove it to get to the grease fittings for the bearings

if it is anything like my SRV you have to take the seat and gas tank off.



Bambi would have been a better and shorter movie if he was shot in the beginning with his mother

if a ride on lawn mower takes bumps better than your sled, its time to upgrade

its nothing like an srv there is a screw on each side then 2 screws to take the cdi off the airbox then all you need to do is turn the bars all the way to the left then lift the back of the box and it will tip out just meke sure all 3 carbs go back in when re installing

i seen 2 of the srews ( there on the same side as the clutch) where are the other ones i know bout the ones on the cdi as well

On the Exhaust side of the box, should be one on the top for sure maybe another.

One thing I've found that makes removing these older Polaris air boxes easier was to remove the clips holding the top section to the bottom section and taking the top off first. This way there was more room to move the bottom section around the jackshaft and throttle cable which was always in the way.



'03 Indy 500 sks (Scumpman's Kicka** Snowmachine) extended skid/track to 136" from TracksUSA, AC roller clutch, Holtzman Tempaflow, clutched and geared, 2" risers, skidplate, old Pol rack.

Exactly, take the box apart in the sled. Much, much easier. Two screws on the clutch side, one right under the fuel shut-off switch.
