So I have decided to install a SLP pipe and can on my 2006 Fusion Dragon 600. I was reading on the SLP website that I need to do some clutching and jetting. Jetting I am ok with, but the clutching I have no idea. The sled is already clutched to about 5K rpm, if that is any help to anyone. What else should I take into consideration? The only mods to the sled are...... pre mix system removed, SLP air horn, clutched to 5k...... for preformance thats about it. Any help is great!

clutched for 5000ft and your in st. cloud?? Unless i'm unware of some big climbs in central MN, or you only ride it out west, you should be clutch for sea level or 1500ft. I'm just up the road in alexandria. SLP is always rich on the jetting, and used the jetting for sea to 1500ft if plan on riding it in the midwest! Clutching i'm guessing you will need new springs and weights. I rode a 600 fusion last year if you have any other questions!

So i am completely new to the whole clutching thing, what should be different about the clutching? enguage at a lower rpm or higher? i never knew clutching had anything to do with elevation...... but i dont know anything about them either :-) do you think it is a good investment to get some more power out of the sled?

Instructions from SLP should have clutching instructions. If you don't have them check their site, they have them online.

Run the SLP clutching, they are pretty much spot on for Polaris sleds that I've seen. Higher engagement doesn't mean better performance, I prefer 4k-4.5k engagement as you are not letting your track spin and clutch slip at low speeds.
