So some of you might remember the 09 RMK 700 I bought awhile back. I have since started converting it into a 2010 Assault.

I have not done to much yet but should have more in the next week or so that I will update on

Stock RMK, I painted the clear windshield black.

Swapped the heavy stock can out for a lightweight ceramic coated HPS can.

HPS Can
]

Installed a matte white skid plate

All stock graphics removed

2010 Assault Graphics installed with custom made side panel graphics "no 800 on them"

Tunnel and all warning stickers removed, tunnel then polished with a powerball.

More to come

Current Line Up
-09 RMK Assault
-06 IQ R 600HO
-01 ProX 600
-95 XCR 600

Days get shorter, snow gets deeper, life gets better.

that looks awesome. what do you plan on changing?

Thanks, this is my next step. Yes I am saving several grand by doing it this way over buying one, plus the 700 motor is well proven unlike the 800.

Taking the rear susp out

OEM shocks removed

New Shocks. The fronts are W/E needles special ordered from Tri-City performance. They have dual rate coilovers,16 position clickers and custom valving. The rear shocks are the 09 W/E Assault shocks

Shocks installed, looks a little meaner now

Also added a tunnel bag that holds your shovel and other supplies, mounts nice and clean.

More to come

What are the differences between an 09 RMK and a 10 Assault?

Looking pretty nice :) You need to buy a house and stop making me want to go buy a new shiny toy damnit!

The only diffenences I have not done yet that the Assault has is a 146 track and mine is a 155,mine is staying a 155 as half the guys on snowest end up converting them to a 155 anyways. The Assault has rail stiffners for extra support that I will probley add later,a little wider front end and different handle bars. Thats the only major differences I can think of off the top of my head.

Looks sick! Have you ever felt the assault handlebars? Those plastic hooks would kill py hands after a day of hard riding. IMO

Looks pretty sick. Nice shock upgrade, it does look a lot "meaner" with the AM ones. Does Polaris make a black assault? If so, i've never seen one. Good luck with the conversion.

The 2010 Assaults are black.

Sleds coming along nice man. Those shocks look like a huge improvement. Hopefully we get enough snow this year to allow you to use it back home...even though if that happens, my SnoPro is going to have to be dug out alot!

I dunno about that. My buddy Cody was able to prove the 700 blows up like a champ:
