Well i decided that i would like a new pair of gloves this year that allows me to be more versatile.

I'm not looking for the warmest, driest, or most comfortable gloves. A pair that are simply less bulky and have good grip. Basically what are the best racing gloves? I don't like the big ones that are harder to jump with because you can't get a finger or two on the brake or they slip.

So far i am considering:
FXR Racing Octane
Castle Launch Glove

Thanks for all of the opinions.

Get mechanix gloves. Way cheaper than name brand. If you do hard riding they are great. Cold if you do trail but keep a pair of good warm gloves or mittens in your pack or somewhere when you need them. I can't justify spending $50+ on a pair of thing gloves when Mechanix are $20. I usually go through 2 pair a year riding, then after that they are getting tattered in a few spots but work for doing other things.

^That's what I ride with, the Mechanix Fastfit gloves. Very comfortable and thin, yet offers a little protection.

Try IronClad Tundra gloves. They keep your hands warm, dry, and comforable. They are not too thick but not too thin.

I just use some insulated mechanics gloves I got at Mark's Work Warehouse for $30CAD. The work great for all my riding. Only time they are a bit cold is when running at high speeds with a string wind, and also without a windshield or handguards. I installed Powermadd handguards and now don't have a problem.
