For all the hunters out there, I was just wondering what is the most exotic or weird game that you've shot or shot at. I personally shot a Lynx a few summers ago. I hit it with a .223 Mini-14 and it literally went flying 6-8 feet in the air flipping and rolling. It was crazy. It was a pretty big Lynx, about the size of a Labrador. It was maybe the 2nd one i've ever seen.

I've never shot anything special myself, but I have a buddy who goes Cariboo hunting every year with his dad way up north and some of the racks they come back with are absolutly wild! I beleive it was Snowest or here someone posted pictures of a timberwolf they shot that was ATLEAST 6 and a half feet from nose to tail, and had paws bigger than my hands.

Shoot at a few wild boar, and we are sure we had a hit on one from all the blood and fur everywhere, but even with a little snow on the ground we were unable to find it. Tracked for three hours and then the trail went dry, most not have been as good a shoot as we had thought it would be.

Shot grasshoppers and gophers with my BB gun, shot a ruffed grouse with my 30-30 and shot a red squirrel 4 feet away with my compound bow by accident, only thing left was the tail, never found the squirrel nor my arrow. I almost shot a cat on my Aunt's land, found out later that it was her son's cat. Good thing I didn't pull the trigger.

-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.

This fall I've shot 2 Axis does (second one was yesterday) and shot at an Impala doe. She stopped behind a bush at 70 yards and that was my only chance. I missed.
1st Axis doe and my buddy and his fawn. I'm on the right.
I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

Not a weird or exotic animal, but one fall during moose season was drifting down the river, saw a couple ducks at least 100 yards away, just for chuckles took a shot at one with a Glenfield semi-auto .22 LR cal. I wasn't expecting to hit anything since a ducks head just about disappears using iron sights at that distance, that duck seemed like a mile away. Pulled the trigger and saw one take off, the other was floating in the water. Come to find out I just about blew away half the head with a head-on face shot, had to be a one in a million shot to hit that small a target at that distance. Best lunch I had that trip.

I always practiced catch and release, that way you might get to catch them again some day. Course after you shoot a couple times they get gun shy and learn to stay away.
Most exotic I ever got was an asian chick in college. But this ring on my finger means my head is the one on the wall now, and I only smell exotic,......like bigfoot.
Once we were target shooting off the back porch of my parents house and my brother had the old 20 gauge over/under Marlin. He was gonna shoot one of the targets we had on the wood line, when a chickadee (2 in tall bird) landed on the porch railing 6 in from his barrel!! I saw a smile from ear to ear on his face, he moved the muzzle 6 in to the left and pulled the trigger. 1 feather was all that was left and my brother was laughing hysterically.

Not exactly exotic. I shot a possum that was coming into my garage to eat cat food. Thought it could hid under the 2 steps of the landing.
NOT!! And they flip flop just like cats!

Speaking of possum. This stupid thing was creating havoc at my old apartment. Took care of him residential style.
