I have read the threads on here about LED tail lights, but they are a little old. Just wondering if any of you who have installed LED tail lights on your sled can give me some websites for them and maybe pics of them installed. My tail light on my 06 440 SnoPro is broke and I need to replace it. Any info would be great.
Thanks

LED lights don't get warm. The snow doesn't melt off like a normal bulb. I had one on my sled and had to brush it off every chance I could. PITA!!! I would never put LED brake lights on my sled ever again.
I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

No, I just din't want to go through with it. I couldn't figure out how to keep my rear bumper and that taillight. since my tailight is attached to the bumper. And I am not very good with electrical things, as I have been electrocuted numerous times..

It will probably looks sick on your sled. Would you put it where the stock light is, or in a different spot?

I have an LED tailight on my sled and rarely get snow on it. It is mounted on the rack tho so its not right at the back of the sled.
I dont think Id put one on a short track tho cause it would get covered with snow dust.

This is the style I had. You can see it in the triangles of the back rack. A magor PITA! But I guess I must of done something wrong if I'm the only one that has that problem.

Never really noticed it on doing that on Dekk70's sled. Sure it gets a little coat of snow dust on it but so does everyother light. I personally like the ones you two have. Sure beats that big abnoxious thing bolted to my bumper IMO.

I'm putting an LED brake light on my sled now and I can probably get you some pics after this weekend. Wiring should be easy, and any three-wire light should work whether it's "designed" for a snowmobile or not. Dennis Kirk has some brake light "kits" and they have a selection of trailer lights as well. I built a tunnel extension for my sled and I am integrating the tail light mount into that. It's a clear light with red LEDs. I have always experienced snow buildup on my brake lights, and I have to wipe it off of my brake lights that use incandescent bulbs. So if I'm in the same position with the LED, it won't bother me.
If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.
If there is any choice, overpower the problem rather than trying to finesse it. In poker, one Smith and Wesson beats four aces. In engineering, one positive fix beats four probables.

I tried an LED replacement bulb, the 1157 one and it sucked bad, it was on my motorcycle and you could barely see it through the lense. I now have an LED tail light on my bike, but is a true LED and with the clear lense it really sticks out.
