This is driving me nuts. Am currently working on a 1991 Polaris 440 sport and next in line is a 1988 Ski-Doo Safari 377. Both have the exact same problem...while running, the headlight is on, turn on handwarmers and headlight will blow out after a while. (Only the headlight blows, others are fine) Did voltage checks and everything is exactly where it's supposed to be - about 12 volts ac.

What the heck is going on?
I checked all the wiring and it too seems to be fine.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

Did some more testing:
'91 440, stock regulator - max voltage seen was about 12.5v
Check my XLT, Arctic Cat regulator - max voltage was about 15.5v
hmmmm, maybe it is the regulator, but I never saw a voltage spike.

My SnoPro 440/700 did that. Went through 5 bulbs before I figured it out.
