I want to get 4"-6" bar risers for my XC 500 do i need to order handlebars to or can i use my stock bars? i need to order a throttle extension but what do they do about the brake lever is there an extension for that to? will the stock handle bar cover fit? will the hand warmers still work? how long will it take to install? Sorry about all the questions i just want to know before i do it so i know what im getting myself into.

you just need the riser. My brother used one of my 2.5" risers off my pro x and this powermadd plate. This is a really nice set up.
He didn't need throttle or brake extensions on his but if he would have put the 4.5" riser then he would of needed extensions.
I think the Pmadd piviot was like 1.5" then the 2.5" riser so he raised his about 4".

$48 for the piviot adapter kit and i gave him the 2.5" riser block, but a new block is $26. Nope, we didn't need extension on his 01'. Just cut a few zip strips which held the throttle and brake line.

Check out RSI Racing's products too. I just bought a bunch of their products. Havent put it on yet but the guys at ski doo really talked them up. If you have a riser any higher than 3" then you will need throttle and brake line extensions.
