- need to know how to remove the fuel tank on my 94 xlt sks 600

Just got this sled 94 XLT SKS 600 triple this might sound like a dump question but how do i get at the tank i need to take it off so i can dumb the gas that is mixed with water out it is pretty bad there is alot of water in there so additives most likelly wont be the solution any help would be great thanx

If it is like my 94 XLT you need to take the whole seat off. Two bolts in the back, Snaps on each side of the seat cover in the front, and a cable strap in the front. I think the spring for the cable is by the clutch. Dont forget to unhook the fuel line and the electrical. Good luck

are the seat bolts in the tunnel on the bottem side ? cuz someone told me they wer in the cubby hole in the back but that was a no go so im guesing the bottem side

Just use a siphon, it would be a lot easier...

^^ siphoning out works just as well and less work.. unless you really want to do the work to remove the tank.
'03 Indy 500 sks (Scumpman's Kicka** Snowmachine) extended skid/track to 136" from TracksUSA, AC roller clutch, Holtzman Tempaflow, clutched and geared, 2" risers, skidplate, old Pol rack.

if you decide to siphon it, you might also want to prop up one side of the sled so all the gas, water, and debris all collects on one side of the gas tank so you can get most of it out.
