There was the option for the M-10 suspension on the Edge chassis. Otherwise it's the Edge rear with the Fox shocks.

2000 XCSP 700: Edge rear suspension, 1.25 Ripsaw, 144 Accord Racing Warthog ZXP studs, Sportech Decals, Stripped Tunnel, 3" Riser, Gutted Airbox, Boyesen Rave Valves

it depends on the model. for example, the 600 classic and the 800 LE had M10 stock. but as for the rest of the line up, including the 600 Edge X, i believe it wasn't a factory option (that im aware of). they only came with the fox PS2 shock (at best). it is a very good set up though

-fox reservoir front track shock
-fox front shocks
-xenon low-beam bulb (very helpful at night)

Just add gas and snow!

both of our 2002 xcsp's had m-10. our xc only had edge suspension. Adding M-10 wouldn't be overly difficult, but it would be pricey.

I heard that m-10 is not the best for racing whereas the edge is the better option true or not

true. the m10 is so plush that it absorbs the bumps so much it makes it difficult to jump. thats why the m10 is found stock on trail sleds like the classic (which are aimed at the female/inexperienced/luxury-cruiser audiences, who arent found ditch banging) the edge offers the best of both worlds- it rides real nice, but ya can still have tons of fun getting some air off driveway approaches
