If you talking about he bolts that go all the way in the back you should be just fine. They are only 1/4 bolts that bolt threw the bottom of the rear storage compartment.

I think he is saying that is the bolt that broke, and doesn't want to break the other one

The only thing you can do is snap it off, remove the seat, then with the seat off pull the staples from the cover so you can get to the plate were the bolts are welded to, pull it out and drill out old bolts and weld in new, then reassemble seat cover and there you have it

Good luck

Just pull out the staples that are in the taillight. Drill out rivets under the seat for the taillight, remove. You can access the two little plates from inside. Drill out two rivets for the plates and fix or replace. It's not hard, just a little time consuming. Had to do this with mine, but made new plates and installed.

Another "quick fix" is to drill through the bottom of the tunnel and into the storage compartment and put longer bolts through with nuts and washers inside. Just don't put an oil bottle in there any more, the ends of the bolts may poke through the plastic container.

that second idea sounds pretty easy and i could always cut the bolts dow and put rubber nips on the end of them then i wouldnt have the oil bottle problem i am going to have to do this at some point but for the time being the one bolt is enuf ... i hope i originally needed to get at the tank but i just syphoned it and let air evaperate the rest must have got the water with the syphon cuz after a day it was dry
