Are you talking about your handlebars on your sled? I'd get the ATV rack gun mounts and mount them on your bars. That'd be pretty sick IMO.

Quote originally posted by FDR_7 i though he was talking about an actual drinking kind of bar haha i believe he is... are you looking for a functional gun safe? or something just for show? for show i would just say a piece of plexy glass with a gun rack like people have in the rear window of there truck. Something along thoes lines.

If it's going to be a visible gun safe it needs to be:
A) Lockable
B) Unbreakable
C) Only able to be opened by you.
The front of a bar isn't a great place to do it, but if you do, make sure you do it right!

yea its going in my bar (drinking bar) lol the plexyglass is a great idea!just happen to have a 4x4 sheet of half inch kicking arround! and ontario gun law's, as long as your amo is locked up , and you have a triger lock on it can be on display, on a moose rack on the wall, or in a glass case . ect

Sounds sweet. What kind of gun(s) are you wanting to display?

it sounds like a nice idea, though I don't like displaying my guns for everyone to see. I'd rather share them with the people that I want to share them with. That's just my opinion though, if your looking for a way to support the guns you could always have a board sitting on a slight angle with dowel rod used as pins to support the firearm around the trigger guard area and then one around the barrel. for handguns you might be able to get a dowel rod to support a gun by slipping the muzzle over it so that that dowel goes into the action of the gun or close to the action. a couple led lights for lighting or you could get a strand of colored Christmas rope light blue, red, or green which ever color you like, and hide that in the top corner so that it isn't seen when looking in from the front.

instead of using a gun rack to mount them you can use decorative hooks and chain. my dad use to do that long long time ago with a very light gauge decorative chain and hooks. kinda like the hooks used to hang hanging plants

I used to display my guns I began to worry the wrong person may see them and come back and visit while no one is home I keep a couple "special guns "out and the rest in safes what we did do was cut some spent cases of different cals.drill them in flush with the bar top and polycoat over them it came out awesome.
