I am looking to put a new bar setup on my new sled, I want to get some pivot bar risers, but I think for the handlebars, wouldnt it just be cheaper to put a cut down piece of 7/8 steel tubing?? or is there something I have to do, or is steel not the best way to go? please let me know, I am just trying to save some money here, and I havent been on the site all summer, does studentdriver still have all the extended cables I need?

I've never built my own bars, but it definately can be done.
I'd probably be looking at 4130 chromolly, if it were me.

Depending on the sled, I do.
I still have quite a few cables left, but the business is closed so when they are gone, they are gone.
Here, this thread gets you to the liquidation site:

Look on ebay for 7/8" bars, you can get a good set of aftermarket ones for under $50.

well yea I dont mind spending $50 bucks on some new bars, but I was jw if it would be cheaper to just go with a straight steel tubing?

I say give it a try, Im sure it would work out ok if you have some free steel tubing.

If not, buy these. They are only $36

It was bolted to my handlebars because I was waterskipping at that time and I just had the licence plate to mount it too. Quick and Free
