We have two dogs and a guest staying with us for a few months. My wife has an apricote toy poodle named "Pooh" who is 12. The "guest" is my neices dog and is a miniature Maltese named "Mikey" who is pretty cool other than he is five and is still not potty trained! BUt he is getting better since he has been staying with us. My dog is a 6 year old black/white Siberian Husky with one brown and one blue eye. His name is "Jiboo" (after the Phish song Gotta' Jiboo) He tooloves to run but is trained to stay in the yard providing we keep an eye on him. He is great with my kids ages 14, 11, and 4.5.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

I have 2 lab mixes-one chocolate and one yellow. Both were/are good with kids. Hell, the cats even get along with them.

The chocolate has an awesome nose. I have "trained" him to track deer for me. He found a deer after a night of rain.

Didn't do much duck hunting when he was younger, so he really is just a pet.

i have a black lab, Wiemar rammer mix, (sorry don't know if i spelled it right). she will be 16 next....i think June. me, only being 16 in a couple weeks, have had this dog almost my whole life. most of her face and paws are all gray. she is always in the way, but you gotta love your dog.

Bambi would have been a better and shorter movie if he was shot in the beginning with his mother

Well i just got a female choclate lab, shes 8 weeks old, shes kinda potty trained and in the process of learnin how to sit!! hoppin she will be a good huntin dog,(will post pics asap)

yea shes a good looking dog, what type of food are you feeding her, and what are you going to teach her to hunt? w.e it is i would recommend you start training now, buy little tennis balls and coat them with the scent of w.e you want to hunt so she gets used to that scent, but dont let her play with those balls, teach her to play fetch with those balls, keep them separate from her actual chew toys,

im currently feedin her "Iams smart puppy" haha i will be huntin ducks and geese and pheasents. i got her lil pheasent toy and a duck one, and today i bought her the lil tenis balls. she still hasnt sat for me but shes gettin to the point were she actually listens when i talk to her. i cant wait for her to get older, i also forgot shes a AKC registered lab!!!! we also used to have a german short hair but had to sell her due to my mom bitchin!!! haha

nice, try treats or a favorite toy to get her attention once you have that she will sit for the moment you get the toy.

yea while she is eating or doing something she loves to do keeping her busy, make loud abrupt noises, just to tone her in, if she reacts to the noises and looks to see what it is or if it makes her jump, its too early for her, keep testing until she does not react at all then take her out, now there is many ways to do this but I found a good way is to play fetch with her get her busy, then have a friend stand about 100 yards away and have him fire a shot into the air, just keep playing fetch, and keep having you buddy walk closer and just fire a shot every 10-15 yards till he is right next to her shooting, if at any time she stops playing fetch and gets scared, have your buddy back off and start over, if she still continues to do this, just call it quits for the day and wait a little longer then repeat.

note: if she doesnt react to the noises at all, then just take her right to the range and have fun with her, thats how my beagle was she didnt mind the noise at all, but ass a puppy when I fed her I made the loud noises.
