I have a 07 Polaris IQ 600 HO carb. Would this wake the sled up a little bit and is it worth 50 bucks? Could it be installed by itself or does it need other mods to really work good?

I have one on my 07 600cfi. I didn't notice anything, and it's only 3hp if that. I'd probably see the 3hp if I had a pipe. The carb air horn kits also come with a plate for the top of you air box. That you need to trim the air box. Slp says jetting is required. So you many feel alittle on the carb. Slp has instructions on thier page. It's something you can do, if you don't mind messing with the carbs. I have seen your kit around $30 sometimes free shipping on Ebay.

When I installed the slp air horn on my headlight cover, the cover still restricts the air horn(about 1/2in around the edge). I trimmed the headlight cover to the size of the slp air horn. I think the carb. headlight cover is alittle different, so you may not need to trim it.

I bought one last year for my 06 600 RMK. Personally i thought why not give it a shot for only $43. Since i also installed a pipe and can, clutch kit, and re jetted it all at the same time, i can't tell you how just that mod improved it. Overall though the sled was a lot snappier and pulled harder. So i can't complain...sorry i can't be of more help.

I installed two 2" flowrites in my on the dash the same time I gutted the airbox and added the air horn kit. It made a difference in the sled. Actually it was leaned out so much that it wouldn't run unless I played with the choke and I had a shop rejet it for me since I'm not familiar with jetting. It seems to have more torque and pull but I think it has even more potential since my jetting needs to be tuned. Its a little rich but I did notice a difference on my 600 and when I'm wearing my MX helmet I can hear the engine rumble through the air box when its downshifting into corners. I did this "mod", if want to consider it a mod, after I put on hundreds of miles on the clutch kit and gearing so I was able to distinguish if there was in fact a difference by installing just the air horn and flowrites. I recommend doing the flowrites along with it to get the full affect and I don't think you'll regret it.
