I found an 03 Polaris Pro X 800 on craigslist. It has a snow stuff can. No other stated mods or accessories besides the can and bar risers. Im looking for some feedback on this sled. From what I've heard they are terrible on fuel, but a real thrill to ride. Let me know what your experiences are, or what you have heard. Thanks for the input.

it's a nice ride for ditch banging. good acceleration, and power. i believe there was a performance update for that mod year for the 800's. CDI. rumble pack can ah? sounds like a bumble bee right near your ear lol. not bad tune, but it gets annoying after awhile. some say the cranks tend to break, mine hasn't...yet. comfy for stand up riding. generally a fun ride. add vforce, boost bottle, and maybe clutching and prepare to hang on. has good low end torque, once properly tuned to your riding style.

It was 98 or 99-05 that had the crank problems. They snapped the big end. My 05 did it at 2000 miles.

Sorry, SLP kinda confused me. The tough boy bearing kit is for 97-05 big blocks. The first 800 twin polaris made was in the 00 RMK. Sorry for any confusion. But still the 800 the OP is looking at had crank problems.
