Has anyone had problems with the ACT rear clicker shocks? i put one in my sled over the summer, and it'll be my first year riding with one, and my first clicker ever. i just want to get some info on them. I mean...i've heard of people blowing them out, is this just for the unlucky few? or for everyone? any info is appreciated. thanks guys.

Why is Abbreviation such a LONG word?

Act shocks are ok for their intended use. My dad has them on his ZR and they are pretty weak in every aspect when compared to my ryde fx clickers. The shafts are tiny, the bodies are weak, overall just your average trail cruising rebuildable shock that is works fine. If you want a higher performance shock, you would have to look into some ryde fx's, walker evans, or if you want to spend big money, ohlins. I wish i took a picture of the two shocks side by side. My ryde fx clicker makes those act shocks look like it came off of a 120. Im not joking either...

I have a standard ACT rear shock in mt FCat and got it replaced with a FOX Zero pro.

Make sure to keep them tight, or they can egg-out.

The Clicker Shocks I had on my 02 ZR 600 CROSS COUNTRY was a joke. Had it rebuilt/replaced way to many times and cost way to much money. Eventually it was replaced with a regular AC shock and I never had another problem again. I wouldnt own a sled with one again without replacing it with a regular shock. I know that a lot of dealers told customers just to replace them with regular shocks because of all the problems people had.
