They last longer and can withstand higher temps. I used them on both of my sleds, including my 151x2 RMK and rode some pretty hard trails with no scratchers or anything and they held up great. I have had the same set for 3 years. Granted i do have scratchers now and use them whenever i need to.

Do they last that much longer?? I normally get 3 years out of my slides. I put on about 1000 on average.

I read that they don't heat up as much, last longer and are a little better for the track. I'm going to be giving the graphite a try this year. Dealer quoted me $25 a slide for plastic. Online I can get plastic for $10 and graphite for $15 a slide. So I figured why not give it a try.

Graphite won't fuse to the track where plastic will if it gets to hot.

Or if you are on a lake with low snow due to wind, or very hardpack icy snow. Most won't see these conditions but its nice to know that why won't melt.
