I saw a '99 700 XC up at Elkridge with the checkers removed, I think I liked it.
What do you think.
With checkers....

Or without...

Darkstar....I know a good sharp razorblade works to get the decals off,
but what do you use to get that sticky adhesive off?

At first I didn't like the without but as I keep looking I think its growing on me. Both ways are hot. I guess I still like it with the checker better though.

Definately keep them on. You wouldn't have any other checkers to match the seats checkered flags.

Use "goo gone" to get rid of sticker residue. use a hair dryer (not a heat gun) to warm up the decals first, then peel 'em off.

That's why I posted...I can't decide.
XCRacer440 makes a good point about matching the flags on the seat...I never thought of that. Come to think of the 700 I saw had the SP style seat w/o the flags.

to get it all off all you do is use a heatgun(just like a blow dryer but way hotter)just hold the heat against it and peel off when hot use a raser blade

w/o...but get a checkered windshield then I'd say with. As for removing them use a heat gun on a low setting or a hair dryer. The graphics will get softer and actually peel off instead of rip. Usually most of the adhesives goes with them then too. But any left over just use some adhesive remover that'd you buy at a place like walmarts auto department. Make sure it's for use on paint!

on my friends sled he had me make him some drawings for his sled with flames and it turned out really good....but if u go with flames make sure that u go from nose all the way back other wise it looks retarded...he actually to my plans to a painter and he painted the exact drawing on his sled with crome paint and then with crome paint specs on the black part of the hood. looked really sharp. i love custom sleds. im in the process of custumizing my 91 400 indy...its turning out nice because im doin everything my way and dont have to worry about the mess up between me telling the painter what i want. just a little rant i thought would be interesting

I like your graphics without the checkers. Your sled is so clean. I mean the lines and clenliness, that if they come off your sled the lines will look sick.
