squeez the break handel and remove the top gear nut

keeping the break on remove lower gear BOLT

remove the gears and chain, should slid right out

heres a cool tool, its a sucker upper, there fairly cheap and well worth it

take out the break caliper bolts

move caliper out of the way

take out the bolts that mount the case to the sled

it might take a littel wiggeling and twisting, maby a littel prying, and the case will come out

use a set of snap ring plyers to remove the bearing retaining clip, same thing for both bearings

turn over the case use a screw driver that is a littel bit bigger than the inner race on bearing and tap them out
tomrrow ill cover the process of removing the seals and installing new seals and bearings, and what to do and check for when installing the case back in the sled, any questions???? just ask...

You got that right! The dealer would be out of business.
Thanks for the step by step instructions Dave! I will installing a new track soon on my XLT SP and was not 100 percent sure about the chain case removal. I look forward to you next posting regarding the seals and bearings.
