Welcome to the forum, you should know that snowmobiling can be highly addictive The sled you have is a really nice one, the liberty 500 engine is a strong runner and is dependable. You should put some pic's up of it.

Welcome to the forum. I just joined also but have been snowmobiling since I was 5-6 years-old. The only thing I would tell new riders is to learn to maintain their sleds. I have seen to many people neglect there sleds where they won't even get the rode grim off of them. If you take care of them they will last a long time. Have fun!

Nice man...I love my 500 XC and you will too.
Just a few tips (forgive if you already know these)
- cheap oil and cheap gas will shorten engine life and hamper performance, so get the good stuff
- NEVER ride alone, unless your meeting up with someone, and always let people know where your going and when you expect to be back
- ride within your ablities, slow & hug right around those trail corners...basicly ride to ride again...don't underestimate how quickly things can go bad on a sled at 60 mph
- learn how to work on your sled, it can be a long tow back to the trailer, and sleds don't like being towed, the chain could pile up in the case and then you'll have a real mess
- the XC's have lot's of jam, so traction is always the best 1st upgrade, then clutching, other stiff like pipes, reeds, and cans just make them finicky....IMO

Welcome to the forum. Nice sled you have there, it sure beats the '71 Olympic I started out with :) Definetly take it easy with your machine until you get a good feel for it. It can get scary fast if your not ready for a sudden change in pace while riding(it happens). Once you got it you will have the time of your life and never look back, throw up a pic or two...

Good idea Budz, but perhaps he shouldn't be eating them in the first place.

Welcome to the forum. You should have a blast w/that sled. I've never heard anybody on the forum say anything bad about that sled, and most of the compliments are about the impressive power it puts out for a 500cc.
