Due to the extreme abundance of these "which is faster" topics, people have stopped coming into this forum. Therefore we have decided to not allow any more hypothetical race topics. They make no sense, and it's deterring people from using the forum properly.
The only other thing it's doing is creating an abundance of people saying "the faster one will win" which is spam and unappreciated as well.

It sucks, but P-Man is right--it's probably for the best. I'd still like to see "we raced this vs. that, and I won", tho.

Good Move, There were way too many of them with no possible way of knowing without racing because of the infinate number of variables.
I agree with posting the results after the race as long as it isn't BS.

Probably more-so about scheduled racing events and so forth, like an upcoming race at Big Lake, Alaska, for instance. I did enjoy reading the "this vs. that" as well, but P-Man is right. It's gotten out of hand, and very redundant so that no one even reads them anymore. So this is for the best...IMO.

That won't get you anywhere except making the admins and other members mad.
When more than half the members are complaining about something we will take action, when one person is complaining about random things, it gets bothersome. The complaints about the "this vs that" topics have been an ongoing complaint for over two months.

Will these threads be deleted or are we just suppose to not reply to them and let them die on thier own? I would be curious to see how dead this section is if no this vs that threads were even in here. Why isn't anyone posting anything about races near them as it is? Did these topics scare all the true racers and spectators away from this section?

RACING...real racing events and people and places and results and people talking about radar runs, etc. There's plenty of stuff. The world won't end over it.

If people post new "this vs that" topics (hypothetical races, if it's posted as an actual race that happened and has results it will be left alone) it will be locked. If it's legit it will be left alone.

But where are all these results? There are tons of members in here that I am sure race or even watch, but there is heardly anything about it. I would love to see more results from local and national races but it doesn't seem like anyone is posting any. I will post results from the races around here on the 13th of Feb, but I would love to see more from around the US, Canada or overseas.

Maybe no one cares?? I don't know. I watch NASCAR racing, but this is under snowmobiles so I can't post about the racing I watch. I leave it to others.

you are left with lots....
1.how about someone asking how to set up their sled for drag races?
I know of a good dozen people here that can help with that, but they are annoyed with the this vs that topics so dont post here as much
2.how about sceduled races in your area?
posting a drag or snowcross or radar run in your area.
3.results from such races
4.how to set up a sled for snowcross
there are lots of legimate (sp) topics about racing,

THEN START POSTING that kind of stuff...ripperd2 figured it out. That is the reason "T vs. T" was banned...because the people a year ago could post about races, but in the last several months, it's turned into not a "racing" forum, but a "T vs. T" forum. The people that want to talk about racing can't because as soon as they post a new topic about races, like ripperd2 just did, it'd get pushed to the bottom by 12 "T vs. T" topics...understand?
