we drove up to the Laona area again in northern wisconsin and the trails were better than excellent for the most part. you could easily be doing 60 through the trails...they were that flat and good. we put on 230 miles on saturday. the lakes were the best i have ever been on, and were as flat as could be. we started in Laona and went through rhinelander and through minaqua and st germaine, than through sugar camp and back to laona. all in all the tril was great except for one break down. A 1999 zl 440 w/ some piston slap issues earlier had finally broke off a piston skirt.

me gettin ready to go

I was back in laona WI this weekend to see my parents and ride.. Glad to Know it was none of you guys that past away this weekend. One crash buy Johny's Resort in wabeno and another out in black well by laona. It was said speed was in issue. One hit a tree and by the time he was found he bleed to death before his friend got help. Sounds like you had a good weekend. I loved growing up in laona and armstrong. Lots of riding all the time and i never had to trailer. My Aunt runs The gas station in laona. Nice place to ride and glad to hear you had a blast

if i remember right, i think you said you know dan and beth and they also have a son named luke? well thats their place in the first few pictures and thats dan in the green jacket and beth in the white jacket. wow, thats poretty scary about those deaths. the trails were DEADLY fast and slippery as well. as i said, 60-70 wasn't out of the question going through the trails.

Yup I no Holly Nelson and the house is very familiar.I also know who luke is but im not sure he remembers me. The all no my cousin kaila Gilligan. The trails where very slippery, but sunday nite it snowed again when i was heading home. The trails should be in excellent condition for this coming weekend. I rode a friends sled for awhile and went ice fishing.. the xlt should be back out as soon as i figure out what to do about my clyinders and order my pistons.

If I get the xlt done before it melts all let you know and if you ever go again all hopefully be home and take ride over.
