First off, welcome to the forum!
Exactly what year F3 are you refering too? I own and occasionally ride a '96. It's a tad on the heavy side, but it's got balls like no other. If you have a need for speed, it will more than likely be cured by this sled. If you have a need for ditchbanging or jumping, I would go with something else with a newer suspension setup.
I know some of them had motor problems. When the factory created the motors, they made them with a lack of oil to one cylinder. This eventually caused the motor to go bad after 2,000-3,000 miles...it was primarily in the '96 models though.

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion.
Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

It's a boat. Unbelievebly heavy. It almost takes 2 people to prop the back end up.
However it's wicked quick in a straightline.Get it on the lake and let it go. The power to stretch your arms above 80 mph is astounding for a 600. It'll surprise alot of larger sleds and there isn't a 600 that will touch it. It thinks it's a 700.

I'd go for F3 models with ck-3 chassis, better suspension, handling etc..

Now, Now, Vodoo. There are some old Polaris 600's that will handle the FIII 600's on the lake or race track.

I rode a buddy's xlt, which made me want the triple.
While nice and smooth it was no where near the speed or power of the f3.

Maybe, but I bet they weren't stock. As far as stock sleds go, the F3's were King of the lakes...

Indy 600, nope not stock. Fastec and luvemall you guys must not get out much or have your eyes closed. The fastest FIII600 I have seen runs 113mph in a 1000ft. I have built 2 600's that surpass that mark and Bobo on this site has one also.
