ok heres the deal guys. 2005 fusion, still in crate, red one or black one, my choice, $8995.00 canadian plus tax. which works out to around $10200.00.. all updates will be done, one year total machine warranty, 2 year engine warranty. no intrest no payments for 6 months then 18% intrest unless bank goes for it, or ride free for a year then 8% intrest. what you all think.

05's have tons of problems. Stay away from that sled. Every magazine and forum tells the same tail. Not a good sled.

I thought the 2005's were going cheaper than that? I know Polaris is running a pretty big sale on left over 2005's. Personally I think the problems associated with the 2005 Fusion 900 are somewhat hyped up a bit. There are problems here and there, but it's a first year production sled. I've heard lots of comments from people saying it is by far the best sled they have owned...others say it is terrible. The good comments I've heard outweight the bad. As for vibration...it will be there but it shouldn't be a concern. People need to pull up thier pants and not complain about stupid things like that.
I'd look into the pricing a bit more and see what 2006 Fusions are going for. If it is close, I'd vote for the 2006 over the 2005. If you can get a 2005 for 2000 to 3000 less, then go with the 2005. It's all up to what you arewilling to spend but the 2005 really is not as bad as what you may have seen on forums. It's the same people on these forums complaining over, and over, and over.......and over.

well the 06 900 fusion is $12576.00 plus tax =14300.00 about and 10200.00 tax payed for a 05 900 so 4100.00 diff isa lot for only one year i would think.

Wow! If I was going to buy a sled I think I would want to have someone tell me about it or what they have heard. It's a dud. The sled has a ton of problems. My freinds who own them don't like the sled. It's not my money. Buy what you want. One more thing though. Here is an article I found. http://www.maximumsled.com/maximumsled/s...7&zoneid=3

I'd say that if all of the updates will be done and there is a full warranty, then I'd go with the black one myself
Not so long ago, a deranged, ranting person's audience was limited to how many people happened to be on the same street. The Internet, however, has certainly allowed "crazy" to go global...

ive herd all the problems some ppl have had and if i wanted someone to tell me about the problems i would ask, but i wanted to get an opinion on what ppl thought about the price and warranty and color and such but some ppl just think about the problems, cat had problems win the F7s when they first came out, they fixed them and i believe polaris will to. so please, no more telling me to get this or get that. just what you think of the price compared to the 06 one.

I WAITED FOR THE 06, I WAS AFRAID THAT I WOULD CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE 05. IN 06 YOU GET MORE REAR TRAVEL, A BETTER FRONT END, EXTRA FUEL INJECTORS AND THEY HAVE ADDRESSES THE BELT ISSUES, WHICH I BELEIVE THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT IN THE 05. GO WITH A 600 FOR THE SAME PRICE AS THE 05 900 FUSION. ITS GETTING GREAT REVEIWS. MY 06 STILL VIBRATES LIKE CRAZY

06 600ho is 10700.00 plus tax so it is 12200.00 still 2000.00 more than the 05 900.

state the "tons" of problems. If i am correct there are only a few problems and most if not all were eliminated with the updates which skcowman has stated have been done to the 05. As for the price, the dealers here were selling them last season for $8500 canadian.

The only thing I was trying to point out was that sled has had a lot of problems and I would not buy the first year version of it. I have 2 edge sleds myself so I'm not Polaris bias. I also said in my last post that it wasn't my money so I don't care. I thought I was doing someone a favor by pointing out the shortcomings of this sled but instead he didn't want to hear it. That's fine, but as long as you have asked well here it goes. My buddy has a problem with blowing belts. Can't seem to get more than 50 miles out of it. They say that they have a more expensive one he can buy that will last longer how convienient just spend more money. This is what I read. Fuel tank rubs somewhere under the hood possible fire hazard, engine mounts twist from torque causes belts to shread, snow injestion, poor fuel economy I believe they had to remap the cdi which still didn't help, bad ski's or spindles(the machine pushes in turns),lack of belt storage, the cooling tube almost rests on the exhaust manifold, hard starting,it had injector problems and it's heavy. That's just some of what I have read. Now if that doesn't concern you then go ahead and buy it. Like I said it's not my money. The only thing I was trying to convey was to stay away from the 05. The dealers are wanting to dump those sleds. That was a 9500$ sled last year and now I have seen it for 5850$ on a post. It would have to come with a 5 year warranty before I would consider buying one. One more thing that I wanted to add was I have owned many ATV's and sleds over the years. Some good and some bad. One thing that I have learned is once you buy it you own it and the factory will not stand behind you when it comes to fixing things. When the warranty is up then that is it regardless if many people have had the same problems. I wish someone would have told me about problems they had with what they bought before I had to find out about them the hard way.

I bought my 05 switchback 900 last year and yes it had some issues.so far I have had 3 upgrades done at dealer and I just dropped it off for a upgreated belt and new fuel tank. All I can say is this is a new model and everything Polaris has had trouble with has been fixed. I blew 1 belt in 500 miles and dealer replaced for free and installed new motor mount. I love this sled and every new model that comes out will have issues.Ski-doo with there mach z 1000 are having problems with engines burning down I have not heard of a polaris 900 doing that. Every new model brings new problems no matter who makes it. The polaris IQ is an awsome sled.

I am with Jim H. I feel I am helping someone out if I save them the hassle of buying a basket case. Who wants a sled that is in shop more than its on the trail?
I'm going to make a prediction that the 900 and the new 700(actually 750cc) motors won't be around long. The 700 is based on the 900.

I don't want to be rippen on anyones sled. Everyone who bought one of these was happy about it when they bought it. The problem is with Polaris and fixing the problems with the sled. I thought the person who wrote this post was asking advice on the sled and what we thought. I gave it. He didn't like it. If ya don't like it then why ask? Just go buy the thing. Thats all I have to say on this post.

I know that i am like everyone else that wants the new sled every year, but just like anything else it is best to wait a year or two to let all the kinks be worked out. In the end it is best to let the dealers deal with the problems then wait till you get one home and have to deal with them.

Guys are getting $4000-5000 U.S. on a trade with reasonable miles.
They will be of even less value once the season starts and the 06 can prove itself a better machine.
You should still get some warranty from Polaris.
Why not get one that has been shaken down, had the updates, and save $4000+?
I’m gonna’ pollute my little piece of the planet so that future generations can’t use it.
