Does anyone know the measurement from shaft to shaft on the front arm of the rear suspension? I can get one off a 87' trail.

Mine is real bad. Is cracked all the way around and the one part is under the piviot for the rear shock. IT's not like my sled had the best care taken of it in the first few years of it's life. Amature sno-x is not kind.

Just put my rear suspension back in my sled last night (after about a month of sitting) and I'm going up north this weekend. Can't wait! Going to be in the Minoqua area, just got snow, I'm stoked!

I believe that any front torque arm from an XTRA 10 will work. I doubt any others will fit. As you know, this is a common problem with the XTRA 10. Have you checked HCS or EBAY? I'm thinking about putting an EDGE, Pro X, or newer suspension in mine in the future.

Just so you know, it's not like they got dumped on 1-2" max. Trails are going to be trashed fast. Lots of crusty ice below. Better have new carbide and a xtra set of hyfax(sliders) with.

Yeah I know this is a weak point. Just never seen one this badly broke.
Going to get it welded up today, and look for a suspension at haydays.
The part new is $144, when you can buy awhole suspension for $100 on ebay.

I want to keep the sled as low as possible for my ice running I do.

Where do you have your t-flow set? Mine is 1/16 - 1/8 turn ccw with 370 mains. It is close to the edge, so I'm not going any leaner. Almost no wash with it set this way.

yeah that's very true didn't get quite as much snow as expected, but I guess it'll do for now, still trying to top mileage from last year... hope it goes well

About 2 slot widths cw from the dot, your dot is in the 6 o'clok position right?

I believe you are running 380 mains, correct? With the dot at 6:00 and your screw slot at 7:00, your sled would be jetted quite a bit fatter. 2-3 jet sizes, maybe more. Granted, no 2 sleds are the same. I'm set for approx. -30* F now. 1/8 turn ccw is for -40* F and I'm not a full 1/8 turn.

For those of you who are using the Magura master cylinder, if yours has gotten sloppy and/or you don't like the large brake handle, a Wilwood lever is a direct bolt in replacement. You can also use the parking brake for the Wilwood by using a Dremel and cutting a small notch for it to lock into on the Magura master cylinder.

yes. Looking at my pistons right now after running it at the track at 50f they are black, pure black. Before I had alittle bit of wash from what I could tell, with a regular flash light. I bought a little light from walmart. It can go down the hole. Looks like I will have to wait till next year, to try it out.

I talked to Mr. Holtzman when I was setting mine up to find out the tempature range of the T-Flow. My goal is for -40* F and according to Holtzman the T-Flow would be good for approximately +80* F. You should be reading the same for all temps. once it is set-up. I have a bend-a-light that I've had for a few years to check wash. You have to be careful when the engine is hot not to get too close to the piston or the bulb will burst. I also have a cheap LED flexible light, but it doesn't show the color on the top of the piston as well.

The one I bought is not led and shows a nice white light not the blueish haze that the led ones usually show.

For those of you who are using the Magura master cylinder, if yours has gotten sloppy and/or you don't like the large brake handle, a Wilwood lever is a direct bolt in replacement. You can also use the parking brake for the Wilwood by using a Dremel and cutting a small notch for it to lock into the Magura master cylinder.

I also found this in Parts Unlimited and Dennis Kirk for those who don't want to fork out $70.00 for the Polaris brakelight pressure switch if it fails. You will have to remove the old switch if it leaks and repalce it with a 1/8" NPT plug. This is the switch for the Magura that threads directly into the master cylinder.

Finally got some snow again.. 4+ inches

Not enoph for the trails to open, but got enoph to run the sled around the fields, and try out some of the new additions to the sled.

The 1" track is great! The bar riser is by far one of the best addition I've done. 5 inch riser. Wish I would have done it long time ago.

We just started to get some snow back here, trails are still rough though, with mild temps this week I think my season might be over. Good to see everyone else is still around.

I will stay active till about mid april then hopefully back to work.

I wish we would get some cold temps with this snow, atleast then I could try out the new steering block. With it in the garage I know it has already tightened it up. Would like to get the clutching and T-flow squared away. Looks like I will be tuning again next year.

I have a 99 xcr 440 and it always bogs out in the powder and when getting back on the trail it takes a lil while to regain power is that a common thing?

I have a 99 xcr 440 and it always bogs out in the powder and when getting back on the trail it takes a lil while to regain power is that a common thing?

Gen II or Edge?
Sounds like cluching, jetting, or both. If you have an aggressive clutch set-up that doesn't backshift quick enough for the narrow power band of the 440s, this will happen. Fat jetting will hurt performance a lot on these sleds. I use different set-ups for hardpack, fast trail conditions and another for all-around/off-trail riding. Mainly a change in helix and spring.
