hey guys. I know alot of people on here probly have some older 90-95 sleds, that the pipe has some surface rust. I own a 93 xlt and it is in that situation. I was wondering if there is anything i can do to it, other than just sand it down and paint it with high temperature bbq paint. Can you ceramic coat them? What are some other more permanent fixes? If you have done this before post what you did.

take the pipe off and get it sandblasted. if you don't own or know someone who owns a sandblaster, look in the phonebook. you should be able to get it sandblasted relatively cheap. then buy some high temp exhaust spraypaint from an autoparts store and paint it up.

Sand blasting works best. Sandpaper will do OK though. Exhaust paint comes in many colors. But BBQ paint is cheaper and does the trick real nice. I will be doing mine over the summer.
