Hey I am actually a big polaris guy and this is the first time i have been in the ski-doo section. I was offered a 600 HO for a good price but I really dont know anything bout them. I am really skeptical about this but its a good deal and I have heard good things. I wanted an 800 how does this compare to an 800?

Thanks for all help

You should be able to keep up with a 800 on the trails. After 80 miles an hour the 800 will start to pull away.

i just bought and rode mine little over 500 miles the 600 is great in the trails I rode with an 800 ho, and 800 polaris, yamaha apex, 700xcsp, and an 800 storm and through the trails didn't have any problem keeping up you like VT said i didn't notice any diff between the 800 and 600 rode both till really 75 or so but with me @ 210 lbs the 600 on the dream o meter stock would push 98 mph without a prob. is a fun trail sled no doubt but if you are not used to the rev chassis it will take some time getting used to. I think they feel cheap compared to the older chassis' but I still haven't got everything tweaked jsut right and I am coming off the m-10 which I rode the last few years. but even after a 240 mile ride there is no stiffness or sorenest felt great huge improvement ove rthe old style. depending on miles the 03 had a ring prbolem not sure if the early 04's did as well might want to ask if he had the recall done or ask if there is one at the dealer. other than that and the fuel guages never read right they are not bad.

If you have fear you will never live life to its fullest. So conquer your fear if you have one, only then can you truly live free.

05 gsx 600 HO mostly stock.

the 04 had the ring issue...easy fix...just re-ring it with chrome rings for about $120 for the rings and base gasket. The ski doo pistons aren't the best either, and are proabbly best replaced with aftermarket by the 3000 mark (for rings and pistons you can't go wrong with Cudney Racing). The only other fault of the 04's are that the carb boots de-laminate and fall apart which would lead to a lean burn down. Another easy fix by using the V-force 3 carb boots.

the Revs kick arse... I was a lifelong polaris guy, and I've got no regrets buying a summit and stomping (in ALL regards) all my buds on their 900 rmks....I'm so glad i didn't get one of those POS's!
