I have tried ALOT of ways to get that damn sping in there. And that method was by far the easiest. I should make a jig and put them on ebay.. nah.. people can just put nails in wood :)

which is the right way to put in the white disk with the clip on it your pics don't show enough detail

^ I don't know how I could show more detail. I made an animated solid model assembly and everything along with scans from the book.

That white disk goes in with the side with the metal parts facing towards the motor (springs and pawl)
