I recently bought a 95 XLT RMK Model#0950956 serial#2410235. when I got it it was basically just a rolling frame if you can call it that. Complete minus motor, hood and seat. The track is fairly new polaris part#540892. Could somone please tell me how long it is. Also I would like whatever info i can get on this sled. What kind of suspension does it have, the type of skis it came with etc. And why does it seem like this sled isnt supposed to exsist. Whatever anyone can give me. Whether its a website or 400 pages of tech info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Shawn

I thought they were an SKS (Snow King Special) in '95, not the RMK (Rocky Mountain King)? Either way, I believe that the 133.5 inch track (as already stated) is correct.

Check your build date, if it's late in the year of '95, than it's more than likely the '96... that year I know they made the RMK and the SKS.

Run the model number. Its an RMK but finding any info on it is impossible. I'm thinking someone must have known somone who knew someone and got a dealer demo model a year early. Also i checkd the build date its oct 1994

They didn't make an XLT RMK in 95....only an SKS....but either wat it's probably got the 133.5" track.

Here's a great site to get the basic specs of Polaris sleds all the way back to 1968... Look under the specifications link

I don't know about the numbers, but the big RMK sticker on the back don't mean a thing. I had a big sticker on the back of mine too

It says "Rocky Mountain King" on there (if you can't read it) and my sled was a '92 RXL 650 chassis. I added the tunnel extension.

At any rate, unless your tunnel extension looks like the one above (as far as length), I'm going to get back on topic here and say that your track is the 133.5 inch track.

^^^^ is it short and angled down like this one?
If yes, then you definitely have a 133.5 inch track.

Plus, in your original post you said...

And why does it seem like this sled isnt supposed to exsist.

... which is probably why none of us can give you solid information about your sled. It could very well be that you have a rare machine that only a few were produced. Or, it could be that you have a 'one off' that someone made... much like my sled was... an RXL RMK XCR all combined into one. Oh, also a little bit of '05 RMK in there too

You need to post a pic of the sled because by the build date of 94 you would have a standard run-of-the mill XLT SKS. The RMK designation did not start until 97 on the 700 RMK's, XLT 600 RMK's and 500 RMK's. Later year tunnel extensions, suspensions, seat/tank combo's will bolt right on to a 95 and pretty much all of the earlier Indy models for that matter. There were no one off or early dealer release XLT SKS models in 94 or 95. If you bought a rolling chassis, it could be a hodge'podge of parts from different years.

Edit: forgot about the 96 XLT RMK's and Ultra RMK's, so RMK designation came out in 96

The 1995 XLT SKS came in two versions. Both had a 133.5 track. However, one had a 1" lug track and the other had a 1.5" lug. The 1.5" lug version was called XLTsks(paddle).

I've had both, thats how I know.

Umm no... 133.5 With a big wheel kit it could be a 136.

Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
