Just askin what yall ride with, in terms of winter cloating and protection. I know that there have been some threads on this, so if you are not up to posting, don't. I just wanted to see is all. To get it started here are some pic's of my setup. I like my helmets and goggles lol. I live in the far north and wearing MX helmets has never let me down. I stay warm no matter the temp or wind. It's all about the prep.

I just went on friday to pick up some new riding gear. I went to a discount clothing store called tj maxx and bought a new columbia vertex jacket and columbia velocity pants for a whopping total $169.00. Its all just ski/snowbording stuff but ive been using it for years and it holds up well and you cant beat the price. the only reason I needed new stuff was the jacket and pants I bought 4 years ago are all stained and look like hell. I would love to have a nice polaris jacket & pants cause I know they last forever, but can't justify the price. my .02

I have for a helmet a black, sliver and white HJC CL-X4 with Smith goggles tinted red, a black, silver and gray mossi jacket with and mossi bibs. My next investment for this year is a TekVest, new boots probably Trukk and a backpack not sure which one tho. Ill probably pick that up at the snowmobile show in green bay the second weekend of november.

I want to switch to a motocross style helmet. I have one already but it doesn't match. It's a blue chrome hjc AC-X2 that matched my YZ.

I currently have/use an HJC CL-14 with tribal graphics and polaris bibs, jacket,, gloves and boots.

Fly helmet, MX type, I have several 303s, 606s, and a Fly Lite
Spy goggles
Klim Valdez parka shell
Klim Togatee bibs
HMK Pro Boa boots
Polaris Snowcross gloves

The reason that we wear MX helmets is that they don't fog up when we sweat.
At least here in the mountains, we just don't use the full face helmets.

Mountain riding is different.
We don't sit down.
We are warm because it's a work out.
Under my non insulated shell, I wear a motocross jersey and that's it.
I just ride hard all day.
Mountain riding is different that way.
