snow coming in michigan

snow is spouse to be dumped on norther Michigan on Thursday through Friday night hopefuly we will get hit!

we got about 6" in the bast day and half. its really coming down now .i live in Gaylord and i was just out for a 20 mile ride and it was OK but not the best . i just had to go because i just got my motor and wanted to try it out. boy i tell ya 180 hp is something else with 1-1/2 paddle track it was bad to the bone
the national Werther service is calling for up to 10" over night
lets hope that old man winter has finely arrived

good to see gaylord is getting snow, Hopefully it holds up! Were suppose to be making a trip up there at the end of the month.

I may not live up there but the trails will be awesome this weekend if the predicted snowfall comes through tonight. I'll be up there friday!
When hell freezes over I'll ride there too!!

I AM THINKING AOUT GOING UP TO LAKE OF THE NORTH ON tHURS OR fRIDAY NOT SURE sOMEONE LET US KNOW HOW MUCH YOU GOT I KNOW THAT THE WEB CAMS ARE SHOWING SNOW!!!!!!!!!!

Gaylord has 8-1/2 rite now but we are suppose to get more over night. lakes of the north has 4-5" so my buddy said. but you all need to realize its all powder the riding sucks do to not having a good base. if you get on it at the lest you will go rite to the dirt and none of the lakes are froze up really good  pics are form today and tonight .just think it was 55 here Sunday and tonight its only 15  YES THE TRAILS ARE OPEN  they have been sence dec 1st we just have not had any snow to ride on them

theres a section on this site that tells you the current trail conditions and snow fall amounts also whether the groomers are out. a few other items are things along the trails and accomodations and such. hope it helps you all out.

we had rian last night and today is like a mist coming down sonw is gone on the trails and i would not come up north this weekend its not worth the damage that you will get by riding in the mud

We have a winter storm warning now 5 to 9 inches by Monday evening.

We're only 1 t. Emmet. :P I've heard alot of speak on hear about significant snowfall in northern/mid michigan. I can speak for the better part of NORTHERN Michigan....that we don't have crap for snow. We got MAYBE 2 inches last night....eastern side sounds like they got more....but Emmet County hasn't really seen anything. I've had reports from just about all corners...and nothing.
SO....if Gaylord has 10 feet of snow by now....don't come further north than that. I was there on the 10th...didn't seem too impressive....but I didn't hit the trails....I was at the gas station...so I don't really have much to go by.
I would say...best bet for any significant snow would be any trails in the Alpena area....they've been cold enough for ground to freeze....Houghton Lake sounds like they got a bunch of snow....but I don't know how cold they've been lately.
Good luck finding good trails to ride on this week!
