Im trying to take off the seat on my 1990 Indy 650.. there are 2 bolts in the tunnel that I think are holding it on.. is that right?.. anyways the bolts are rusty.. I turn and turn and they are not coming out... the sides off the seat near the bottom need to be re-attached.. the stapes are pulled out .. I can see under there and looks like a piece of wood is all rotten.. would a polaris dealer have a new piece of wood for me or do I just go to a lumber yard and cut a new one.. looked like some padding too look kinda shakey.. would I just pry up with a big screw driver to get the seat off with the bolts just turning .. thanks scott

On my '90 indy 500 there are 2 carriage bolts that stick up into the trunk close to the taillight housing. I easily snapped those 1/4" bolts right off. After that, the seat slid back and off it was. I imagine the 650 seat is the same.

Yes, Identical.

I would just cut a new piece of wood and dry out your foam and see if it's worth saving. I did this on my seat. Have a peak.
