Ok so I have read the thread on the how to rebuild my broken starter chord. I am planning on tearing it down on Saturday.

My question is, how do I check the water pump to make sure there is no damage from the broken chord and what exactally am i lookin for?
This is a 01 pro x 600.

The shop will run me 100-150(recoil off sled) to repair it and that just seems to high to fix a little piece of rope.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I got the recoil fixed.
But wanted to check and make sure when it broke it didnt take out the water pump belt.
Ive looked high and low and cant find anything broke or not working.

Im plan on putting the recoil back on tomorrow night.
