When we go riding my sled goes but to a certain point which is 40mph and on some straight aways it goes 70mph tops. But at night it gets a little better but it will only go 70mph. What could be wrong and then it eats oil like crazy and I did put a epi clutch kit on it. Whats wrong please help. Thanks

Is it worth fixing it and yes it did do the same thing before the clutch kit. Aslo I just remembered that the inside sheave is like not spring loaded when you open it it does not go back to the orginbal spot to where it can't spin I have to push it back in place. What I mean is when you open it it does not shoot back it like it is not spring loaded . Will this make my sled have the original power and go fast without having this problem. so take thge helix out and do what with the spring. Can you give me directions on it please. Thanks
