Has anyone been riding in Sealy Lake MT yet this year. Or ever, I am going there March 3rd and I have never been there and am nervous whether it will be any good or not. It's a 1100 mile drive that is why i'm nervous. I would rather go to the snoweys myself. Any input is awesome thanks.

my dad said that he owuld like to head over to seeley lake this year. he has been there a long long time ago, probably 10 years +. he said it's amazing, some of the best riding he's ever done was there.
up here in the pacific northwest (western montana, northern idaho, and eastern washington) we have been in a storm for 2 days now. mountains are expected to get another 12" to 18".
the altitude at the lake itself is around 4200, so make sure to jet right. the mountains get up to 7000 pretty quickly.
enjoy the snow there. hopefully i'll make it over there this year, it's onyl a 255 mile drive from spokane, wa.

Not ridden there, but that is near the Bob Marshall Wilderness area. Yup, that alone makes it well worth the trip. Take pix and put em up! Here's the area trails http://www.seeleylakechamber.com/trails/...rails.html What out for the Griz..

Aren't the bears in Hybernation right now? Oh and if I lived 255 miles I would be there all the time but then again this is coming from a flatlander that loves the mountains. I am from NE South Dakota so anyhwere I go for mountains it's a haul. Thanks for the input guys.

Was born and raised in Missoula, so we rode Seely quite a bit as my parents friends had an A-frame up there.
Great riding!! Alzina(sp), Cozy Courners(fun trail ride to the bar)
The best riding is if you park at the old airport and head in the back side of the Missions. Big Country and Hella Sqweet Ridin.
Havent ridin there in 5 years as I live in Washington now. But cant wait to get back.
A buddy of mine is one of the riders in Tobe's movie, Wade Soss. He grew up there.

Went to Seely Lake. The snow wasn't very good. They had 6-7'of snow but it was so warm. I can see Seely being a great riding place when there is snow. It is probably the most beautiful scenery i've seen. The trails were good the little bit that we rode 5-10 miles at the most. The off trail riding would be awesome if it wasn't so warm.
I'll post some pics that I took of the scenery and riding later.
