About a month and a half ago a neighbor/freind had a serious swimming accident that resulted in him being paralyzed from the neck down. He has been in the hospital since. About a month in Billing, MT and was just moved to a rehab center in Minneapolis, MN not too long ago. Well this guy is also a farmer and obviously cannot farm anymore. So today the local farm community got together and harvested his spring wheat for him. There were 12 combines (all John Deeres of course) with the smallest being a 9600, 30-40 trucks also showed up (I never got an exact count on them). There was also a 8100 series John Deere with a 750 bushel grain cart. He stayed very busy! It too around 8 hours for them to harvest all 650 acres. Here are some pictures I took throughout the day.
One of the trucks, as you can see he is showing his support for Jason (the farmer that was paralyzed) with his little sign.
As you can see it was a very dusty area today.
All the combines together, it was hard to get a good picture since you had to get so far away to get all of them in frame
